In Fred Roger’s Neighborhood, he taught us that “when we can talk about our feelings, they become less overwhelming, less upsetting, and less scary.  The people we trust with that important talk can help us  know that we’re not alone. ”

Problems, experiences, issues and situations are often complicated causing a person to feel overwhelmed.  I help people work through their issues and assist them in reaching a healthier level of functioning.

I believe therapy should be personalized to reduce the client’s symptoms in collaboration with the client, promote overall personal growth and well being and reflect empirically based studies and treatment methods. Although some people are initially unsure whether therapy is right for them, those that do engage in treatment with me respond well to this approach in the development of their individualized treatment plans.
